Terraform Enterprise Adds Native Support for IBM Z and LinuxOne
HashiCorp has integrated Terraform Enterprise with IBM Z and LinuxOne systems to enable unified infrastructure-as-code management across mainframe and distributed environments.
Terraform Enterprise is adding native support for IBM Z and LinuxOne systems. Released this quarter, the self-managed version lets you manage mainframe environments using standard intent-driven workflows.
Mainframes.
If you manage mixed environments, you can now apply infrastructure-as-code practices and use the same configuration language and automation patterns across distributed systems and IBM Z architecture.
The implementation keeps provisioning workflows consistent. You define requirements through code, which cuts down the manual configuration tasks traditionally tied to mainframe administration. This setup brings version control and visibility to infrastructure changes, supporting automated testing and deployment pipelines that span the entire data center.
Technical teams working in these environments get standard Terraform features—including state management and policy-as-code enforcement—directly on IBM Z hardware.
