.NET Aspire Dashboard Adds Native AOT Support for Faster Startup
The .NET Aspire dashboard now supports Native AOT compilation to improve initialization speeds and reduce memory consumption by running as a self-contained native executable.
The .NET Aspire dashboard now supports Native Ahead-of-Time (AOT) compilation. You can compile the dashboard into a self-contained, native executable.
This change reduces startup time and memory consumption. By using Native AOT, the dashboard bypasses the Just-In-Time compiler during execution, resulting in a smaller disk footprint and faster initialization because the application runs directly as machine code.
Engineering work involved addressing technical challenges regarding reflection and dynamic code generation by updating the codebase for static analysis requirements. You can now opt for this deployment model when building or running the dashboard to inspect logs, traces, and metrics during development.
