Jetpack Compose Renderer for A2UI Protocol Enters Alpha
Google has released an alpha version of the Jetpack Compose renderer for the A2UI protocol, enabling developers to build agent-driven user interfaces using a declarative JSON format.
Jetpack Compose renderer alpha for the A2UI protocol is now available.
This library lets agents generate user interfaces with a declarative JSON format. Native rendering happens through Jetpack Compose components. Agent logic stays separate from the UI layer because no agent code runs directly on the mobile device.
The modular architecture offers two implementation paths. You can pick a drop-in implementation of the A2UI basic component catalog that uses Material Design standards. Or, you can build a custom component catalog for your agents.
Documentation and implementation details are live on the developer portal at https://developer.android.com/develop/ui/compose/agentic. You can submit feedback through the standard issue tracker.
