Infragistics Releases Over 50 Ignite UI for Blazor Controls as Open Source

Infragistics has released a collection of over 50 Blazor components under the MIT license, including a lightweight grid and new .NET 11 code analyzers for performance and security.

Ignite UI for Blazor now has over 50 controls available as free, open-source components under the MIT license. Microsoft announced this collaboration on October 27, 2026.

You can use these components in personal and commercial applications. The release covers a free subset of the commercial suite, including inputs, navigation, and layout controls like the Date Picker, Combo Box, Tree, Stepper, and Tile Manager. Grid Lite provides a lightweight option for tabular data. The source code, issue tracking, and contributions reside in the Ignite UI for Blazor repository.

To add the core controls to an existing project, install the IgniteUI.Blazor.Lite NuGet package. Grid Lite ships separately as IgniteUI.Blazor.GridLite. Components require an interactive render mode in Blazor Web Apps, and the repository setup instructions detail services, namespace imports, theming, and supported hosting models.

Infragistics engineers contributed new Blazor analyzers merged into ASP.NET Core for .NET 11. These flag unnecessary StateHasChanged() calls and authentication-state usage that can display stale user information.

The work meets performance, accessibility, security, and trimmability standards for trimmed Blazor WebAssembly apps. Additionally, an Ignite UI setup scaffolder is under review to automate package installation and app configuration. For AI coding assistants, Infragistics contributed an Ignite UI for Blazor skill to the .NET skills repository.
