iceoryx2 v0.10 Adds FlatBuffers and Event-Based IPC

The latest release of the iceoryx2 inter-process communication library introduces FlatBuffers support for zero-copy data transmission and new event-based synchronization mechanisms.

iceoryx2 v0.10 integrates FlatBuffers and adds event-based communication mechanisms for inter-process communication.

You get zero-copy data transmission for unbounded data structures. This handles dynamic payloads without performance hits. FlatBuffers integration standardizes serialization for complex data schemas across processes. Combined with the zero-copy architecture, memory overhead drops because you share data directly between processes without intermediate copies or heavy serialization overhead.

Version 0.10 introduces event-based communication. These mechanisms signal between processes to trigger actions or synchronize tasks within an embedded system.

Source code and documentation are available in the official project repository and technical guide. The iceoryx2 book covers implementation guidance for the new event systems and FlatBuffer support.
