Cloudflare Announces One-Year Support Plan for Deno Runtime
Cloudflare will provide one year of security and bug-fix support for the Deno runtime before transitioning to a community-led maintenance model.
Cloudflare is partnering with Deno to provide support for the Deno runtime for one year.
During this twelve-month timeframe, the team will issue monthly releases focused exclusively on bug fixes and security patches. After this period, active development of the runtime by Cloudflare will stop, and responsibility for ongoing maintenance and feature advancement will move away from the current corporate support structure.
Deno remains an open-source project. Project creators welcome contributions from outside parties who want to continue development after the support cycle ends.
If you rely on this runtime for your infrastructure, you need to account for these changes to the release schedule and the transition of the long-term maintenance model.
