Cline Desktop v0.0.49 Adds Local Model Management And Integrated Terminal
The latest Cline Desktop update adds local model support via Ollama and LM Studio, an integrated terminal, and enhanced pull request tracking capabilities.
Cline Desktop v0.0.49 introduces local model management, session header pull request tracking, custom keyboard shortcuts, an integrated terminal, and in-chat code review capabilities for the AI coding agent.
Under Settings → Provider → Local, you can install and manage local models via Ollama and LM Studio. The software checks your hardware to recommend the best models your machine can run.
Session headers now display pull request tracking, showing CI status, merge status, line counts, and individual checks directly without requiring you to open GitHub.
An integrated terminal opens inside the project folder to run commands alongside your current task. You can toggle it using Ctrl+`. Additionally, configurable keyboard shortcuts under Settings → Keybindings now cover actions like starting a new session and searching sessions.
For code review, you can view what Cline changed in its last turn, review Git changes, or open any project file straight from the chat interface.
The team ships these improvements for macOS, Windows, and Linux, and you can download the software from the Cline website.
